The children and teachers are overjoyed that, after a two-month break, they can finally go back to school. They stand proudly in front of the new school buildings, which were finished at the beginning of September. Because of the serious political and social unrest, it was too dangerous for the children and teachers to come to school. After the many demonstrations and ongoing violence, there is now also a big wave of kidnappings. Nevertheless, most of the children come to school, hoping for the best. Our aim is that at school, at least, the children can feel safe and relaxed. The sports day on 7 February, to help the children unwind before exam week, was a great success.
